In this vital role, you will bring your expertise in electrical systems to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of various commercial and industrial projects. As a Journeyman, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems on construction sites and renovation projects. Your hands-on experience with electrical codes, schematics, and tools will drive project success and safety compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your professional growth. Responsibilities Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute project plans. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose issues with low voltage and high voltage systems. Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial and commercial electrical equipment in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure proper framing carpentry, renovation work, and electrical integration are completed efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations for safety compliance and operational integrity. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections to ensure accountability and quality control. Requirements Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a valid Journeyman license or equivalent certification. Extensive hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and construction site procedures. Strong knowledge of electrical codes (NEC), low voltage systems, high voltage systems, and schematics reading. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ohmmeters, NEC standards for wiring practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Experience working on renovation projects or construction sites involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks is highly desirable. Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to coordinate with team members effectively.
