Industrial Electrician- Job Description
- This role focuses on building, wiring, and troubleshooting industrial control systems in a manufacturing environment. You will interpret electrical schematics, assemble and wire control panels, and ensure safe, reliable operation of equipment. The position operates primarily on a Monday-Thursday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with additional work on Friday as needed.
- Responsibilities
- + Read, analyze, and apply engineering documentation, electrical blueprints, and wiring schematics to complete electrical installations accurately.
+ Determine, map, and organize required internal components and parts systematically based on schematic paths and design requirements. + Mount industrial hardware inside electrical enclosures, including performing precise drilling and tapping of back panels. + Route, strip, terminate, and interconnect all internal structural circuits and external system components in a clean and organized manner. + Assemble and wire control panels, ensuring all components are installed according to specifications and industry standards. + Inspect finished wiring setups, perform comprehensive quality control checks, and measure operational voltage to confirm proper function and safety. + Isolate faults and troubleshoot circuits, resolving component errors and verifying three-phase operational continuity. + Apply low-voltage wiring techniques to support control systems and related equipment. + Use knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to support installation, wiring, and troubleshooting activities. + Maintain and properly use personal hand tools and cordless tools required for daily tasks. + Keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with local 6S standards and safety practices. + Follow directions from leadership while also working independently without close supervision when required. + Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and customer demands. + Collaborate with plant and department leadership during interviews, tours, and ongoing operations to ensure alignment with production needs.
- Essential Skills
- + Proven experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring schematics, and engineering documentation. + Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring and control circuits. + Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and their application in industrial systems. + Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their role in control systems. + Experience assembling and wiring electrical panels or control panels. + Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical controls, circuits, and components. + Ability to work from minimal supervision and take direction effectively. + Capability to maintain and use personal hand and cordless tools safely and efficiently. + Basic computer knowledge to support documentation, configuration, or diagnostic tasks. + Willingness and ability to work overtime as required by production demands.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Troubleshooting controls experience is a plus. + Control panel building experience is a plus. + Knowledge of VFDs and PLCs beyond basic familiarity is beneficial. + Computer literacy beyond basic use is an advantage for diagnostics and documentation. + Comfort working in a consistently busy manufacturing environment. + Interest in mechanical and custom work within an industrial setting.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
