Position Summary:
The Designer II will be responsible for placing equipment, conduit, cable tray, and other electrical items into a Revit model. Be able to create and use Commonwealth Revit families in model. Navigate the model using field software such as Navisworks or Revizto. This role interacts with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
Layout electrical equipment for field installation Coordinate field installation drawings with project foremen Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit Attend weekly coordination meetings with project team members Communicate effectively with the field for any changes to the model. Exemplify, promote and foster our purpose of Committed to Excellence through our Core Values of Customers, Employees, Character and Mastery All other duties as assigned and required
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam or Journeyman Electrician Knowledge of electrical construction processes and procedures Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education and Experience:
At least 2 years experience with Revit Associates degree in 3D Modeling OR journeyman electrician license preferred This is not a remote position Commonwealth is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
