JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for assuring quality repair and preventative electrical maintenance is being performed throughout the buildings complex. Adheres to department, local and national codes. Diagnoses electrical problems. Repairs and maintains electrical circuits, outlets, motors, generators and other electrical equipment throughout the facility. Assists with other facility maintenance duties as assigned. Work will be performed in an ethical and legal manner following organizational policies, processes, protocols and procedures. Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for Madonna as a whole, including upholding the mission and values for the department and facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Installs/performs preventative maintenance on low/high voltage electrical systems. Installs and adjusts many different electrical components as electrical breakers, motors and supply contacts, capacitors, relays, starters, ballasts, light bulbs, etc., as needed. Operates various meters and other types of testing equipment to diagnose and locate an electrical power outage or shortage. Repairs or replaces faulty wire or cable with periodic installation of new conduit or repair of existing conduit as needed. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures, using handtools and testing equipment. Tests malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards (1000 & 2000 beds) using electronic test equipment and handtools. Recommends and orders parts for projects; acts as lead worker on some electrical assignments. Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Follows instruction from supervisor to perform other functions as assigned in order to achieve the goals within the Department. Maintain and ensure a safe environment for the department. Handles and operates all necessary equipment and performs required duties according to established safety standards to maintain compliance with regulations and prevent injury.

QUALIFICATIONS
(Education/training and/or Experience) High school diploma or equivalent required. One year technical training in electrical preferred, two years experience in electrical repair required. Must possess current journeyman license with the City of Lincoln or the State of Nebraska 6 months into position. (Willing be consider the obtaining of a journeyman license within 6 months of hiring into position.) Valid Nebraska driver's license and proof of good driving record required.
