Job Summary The Electrician is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems supporting Automated Parking Systems (APS) and mechanical infrastructure. This role ensures safe and code-compliant electrical work, system reliability, and minimal downtime. The Electrician will work on power distribution, control panels, safety circuits, and associated components in both new installations and existing operational environments. Key Responsibilities Electrical Installation and Commissioning Install, wire, and terminate electrical systems up to 480VAC in accordance with NEC and local codes Install low-voltage control wiring, communication cables, and safety circuits. Assemble and wire control panels, disconnects, transformers, and distribution boards Support system commissioning through voltage verification, phase rotation checks, and load testing Interpret and execute work based on electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and repair high-voltage power distribution and low-voltage control systems Identify root cause of electrical faults, short circuits, and grounding issues, and component failures Test circuits using appropriate diagnostic tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters) Restore systems to safe and operational conditions within service level expectations Coordinate with controls technicians regarding PLC, VFD, and sensor-related issues Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Perform scheduled inspections of panels, breakers, feeders, grounding systems, motors, and drives Inspect and test safety devices, emergency stops, and interlocks Replace damaged or worn electrical components Document maintenance findings and recommend proactive corrective action Safety & Compliance Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures Adhere to OSHA and site-specific safety protocols Ensure all work meets applicable building, electrical, and automation standards Report safety hazards immediately Documentation & Reporting Complete service reports accurately after each job or service call Record materials used, labor hours, and system status using the Company's preferred system Maintain organized records of inspections, repairs, and testing results Provide recommendations for system improvements and risk mitigation Customer Interaction Communicate professionally with property managers, contractors, and operators Explain electrical findings, repair requirements, and safety concerns clearly Represent the Company in a professional and technically competent manner at all times Must be able to commit to a weekly rotating on-call shift.
Pay:
$30.00 - $42.00 per hour
