Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY
Skilled electricians are the backbone of any serious production operation. When the right one walks through the door, a plant simply runs better. If you bring the experience, the discipline, and the drive to work at that level, this is the role that has been waiting for you. We are placing an experienced Plant Electrician at a well-established deli meat processing facility in Fairfield, NJ. Family-owned, nearly 50 years in business, and committed to quality at every level. This is a full-time, direct-placement position for someone who takes their craft seriously.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, panels, motors, wiring, breakers, switches, and electronic components throughout the plant Diagnose, modify, and install electrical apparatus on industrial processing and packaging machinery Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical systems on a scheduled basis Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore power with urgency and precision Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Ensure all work complies with NEC code, plant safety protocols, and LOTO procedures Collaborate with the maintenance mechanic team on complex equipment repairs Support facility infrastructure including refrigeration electrical systems and lighting
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum 5 years of industrial or plant electrician experience Food manufacturing, meat processing, or cold storage facility experience strongly preferred Journeyman Electrician certification preferred; NJ Electrical License a plus Proficiency with PLCs, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and HMI systems Strong knowledge of NEC code compliance and
LOTO/OSHA
safety standards Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot independently with minimal supervision Comfortable working in cold, wet, and demanding production environments Reliable, detail-oriented, and accountable under pressure
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
Pay:
$28.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience and certifications Day shift, Monday through Friday with overtime opportunities Full-time, direct-placement opportunity in a stable, long-tenured operation
