Industrial Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to work for our manufacturing client located in Irvington, New Jersey. A Class A NJ Journeyman Electrician license is required. The Industrial Electrician will work with and guide other electricians to ensure the optimal functioning of all equipment and machines at the facility. They will install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and parts, and be able to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. Monday-Friday, 6:30a - 4:30p; at least 2 Saturdays/month 6:30a-12p Salary range $40-43/hour commensurate with experience. Over 40 hours per week will be paid at an overtime rate

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside and guide other electricians in the department, to ensure compliance with safety code and regulations.
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical industrial and facilities equipment
• Interact with work instructions and maintain parts inventory from a computer
• Performing scheduled inspections, servicing, and testing of equipment, PM
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
• Troubleshooting malfunctions
• Perform and approve shock & arc flash risk assessments .

Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical hazards or system failures and implement corrective measures promptly.

Skills/Qualifications:

HS, GED and/or trade school certification 5 years experience as an industrial electrician, preferably at a manufacturer Class A NJ Journeyman Electrician license required Knowledge of

NEC, NFPA

70E, NFP79, and OSHA safety practices required Experience in

A/C 120/208/480

Volts 3 phase systems

D/C 12/24

Volts, and proficiency installing and bending EMT Company will provide Electrical Safety & Arc Flash training if needed Bilingual Spanish a plus Experience with PLC Programming highly desired Hydraulics experience a plus

Pay:

$40.00 - $43.00 per hour
