In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various environments, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the electrical field. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools and power tools on construction sites and existing facilities. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify system functionality. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation processes. Collaborate with construction teams to support renovation projects, framing carpentry tasks, and general handyman duties as needed. Ensure safety protocols are followed rigorously while working on construction sites or in operational facilities. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for compliance purposes. Skills Extensive experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical installations. Strong knowledge of NEC standards and electrical codes applicable to various environments. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools for efficient installation work. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation tasks. Ability to perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures and compliance requirements. Familiarity with ohmmeters for testing circuit continuity and resistance measurements. Capable of working on renovation projects involving framing carpentry or general construction tasks. Handyman experience is a plus for supporting diverse maintenance needs across facilities.
