Apprentice Electrician - Oil & Gas (3 Years Experience Minimum)

Job Summary:

3 Rivers Electric LLC is seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Farmington, NM. This position focuses specifically on electrical work within the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety. You will work under the supervision of a senior Electrician, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in oil and gas settings.

Responsibilities:

Assist more senior electricians in performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in Oil & Gas settings, adhering to all applicable codes and standards. Learn to accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand the layout and specifications for electrical systems. Install and maintain various electrical equipment and systems specific to Oil & Gas, including but not limited to: wiring for pumps, motors, control panels, instrumentation, and hazardous location electrical systems. Develop proficiency in conduit bending skills and demonstrate a strong attention to detail in all work. Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing malfunctions, and implementing effective solutions under supervision. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and

NFPA 70E.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and procedures. Learn to accurately document all work performed, including materials used and time spent. Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients. Operate and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and a willingness to take direction from Electricians.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Apprentice Electrician in the electrical trade. Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred. Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant local codes. The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are generally required to operate company vehicles.
