Diagnose electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters and troubleshoot low voltage, high voltage, and control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete projects with precision. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local building codes for safety and quality assurance. Conduct inspections on electrical systems, including circuit testing, wiring verification, and schematic analysis. Collaborate with clients to explain work performed, provide recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites or customer premises. Assist with blueprint reading for renovation projects or new installations involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks when needed. Experience Proven experience as an electrician in residential settings; industrial or commercial electrician experience is a plus. Familiarity with construction site procedures, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and renovation projects. Hands-on knowledge of low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed schematics. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects that require framing carpentry or handyman skills is advantageous. Strong understanding of NEC regulations, electrical safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques involving schematics or low/high voltage systems.
