JOB SUMMARY
This is a technical trade position requiring facility operations experience that will be responsible for a detailed segment of the facilities department. This role has responsibility for ensuring safe and efficient operation of critical assets and building systems. Candidate will also be responsible for accurate reporting in the department MMS system and any other reporting tools, timely completion of work assignments with a high level of productivity while maintaining high positivity in a fast paced work environment.
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
Strong understanding of the base facilities trades; Electrical systems up to 480 volts. Plumbing domestic water systems, grease and sanitary sewer. Mechanical systems including chilled water, hot water, steam and HVAC. Candidate will be expected to record asset measurements with full comprehension of identifying inconsistencies in operating pressures, temperatures or other metering outputs. Usage and exposure to refrigerant based systems will be a daily task and will often require an approved EPA certification for work performance, data logging and recordkeeping. Candidate shall possess strong troubleshooting skills for assets typically utilized for central plant operations, plumbing supply/waste systems, HVAC, pneumatic and electric/electronic systems. Candidate will have strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers including troubleshooting and programming of replacements. Candidate shall have a strong understanding of rebuilding pumps & motors, programming variable drives, repairing plumbing leaks, and performing electrical repairs. Strong computer skills and software knowledge will be required. Position will be in periodic use of building management/automation software, electronic MMS work order systems, and company specific programs. Candidate will be expected to understand all regional permitting and administrative codes to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements. Per OSHA guidelines, candidate must participate in all company provided safety training and follow all required safety guidelines and processes established in the department. Should possess basic blueprint reading skills to help ensure understanding of existing systems or any proposed as built additions. Will be required to hit deadlines and complete job tasks as set by Facilities leadership without direct monitoring or oversight. Must be flexible to schedule additional hours if needed for assistance with various projects or onsite coverage. Must have the ability to handle tools, supplies and equipment exceeding 50lbs, utilizing tool assistance as needed. Will mentor and develop any entry level/apprentice level positions and own the responsibility of their exposure and progress if assigned. Will support team compliance to company and department policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Strong computer skills (MS products including Excel) Good communication skills (oral and written) Maintenance management and building automation systems experience. EPA Universal Certification required, journeyman level electrical or plumbing certification a plus Multi-lingual a plus
