FUNCTION
With minimum direction, must be able to identify, trouble shoot and resolve a wide variety of maintenance concerns throughout the entire property.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiate and respond to the work order system, documents work performed as necessary. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems on the property. Complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner, documents work performed as necessary. Initiate and respond to the preventative maintenance programs. Perform inspections and routine preventive maintenance to ensure effective safe operation of all Nugget equipment and building systems; correct and report inconsistencies to the appropriate level of management. Research parts and materials making recommendations for replacement of original or after-market parts and materials. Ensure stock parts are adequate and available through the purchase order program. Perform and document annual inspections on equipment as assigned. In a safe and effective manner use power tools, chemicals, electrical and mechanical devices. Identify and perform repairs to plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment as appropriate. Serves as an emergency response team member during critical crises. Address guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests. Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same. Regular predictable attendance is required. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Assistant Shift Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Certification as journeyman plumber, electrician, or similar required.
LANGUAGE
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years maintenance experience in Hotel/Casino environment preferred. Developed skills and knowledge in at least one or more of the following specialties: Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, boilers, kitchen and/or laundry equipment repair. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office, inventory management and work order computer software.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Current CPO certification required. Must have at least one (1) Nevada State or nationally recognized journeyman certification, i.e. journeyman plumber, electrician, etc. EPA card, Universal Card Certification in a specialty skill preferred.
PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs. Fine finger manipulation. Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
