Job Description

The Electrical Technician is expected to install, maintain, and troubleshoot the electrical and control systems in the manufacturing facility. Work directly with the maintenance and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure the safe, efficient operation of all plant machinery. Duties and Responsibilities as an Electrical Technician Trouble shoot and repair wire drawing and bunching machines, as well as power distribution, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other building systems. Perform preventative maintenance tasks in order to keep machinery operational and performing at optimal levels.
Skills and abilities include:
Knowledge of AC and DC variable speed drives and motors Ability to work with PLC's and other control components Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to trace wiring and identify components. Ability to use multimeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair machine control systems Execute routine checks and PMs on motors, drivers, relays, and PLCs to prevent unexpected equipment failures. Knowledge of three phase and 480-volt electrical systems Knowledge of compressed air, lubricant filtering and cooling, hydraulic, and HVAC systems. Enforce all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.
Qualifications:
A.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology or another similar field. Demonstrated equivalent practical experience or a recognized Journeyman/Apprentice credential may be considered in lieu of a degree. Use personal computers and software including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and various programming packages Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and machine safety standards Strong understanding of industrial electronics, 3-phase power, VFDs and PLC troubleshooting Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to lift to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in varied industrial environments Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent work record, including safety, quality and attendance Salary is $62,500 to $68,00 per year.
