- Perform various electrical tasks including installation or replacement of wiring, panels, lighting, and other electrical devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine project specifications.
- Measure and cut materials to the required dimensions.
- Repair or replace damaged or worn-out components of existing structures.
- Ensure that all work is completed according to safety regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
Skills:
- Experience with low voltage systems and knowledge of NEC regulations
- Experience with high voltage systems and safety protocols
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics for construction projects
- Strong understanding of wiring, circuits and other electrical components
- Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems
- Understanding of local and national codes, regulations and safety procedures
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and subcontractors effectively
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods
- Industrial and commercial electrician experience preferred
