Duties:

• Perform various electrical tasks including installation or replacement of wiring, panels, lighting, and other electrical devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine project specifications.
• Measure and cut materials to the required dimensions.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn-out components of existing structures.
• Ensure that all work is completed according to safety regulations and building codes.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills:

• Experience with low voltage systems and knowledge of NEC regulations
• Experience with high voltage systems and safety protocols
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for construction projects
• Strong understanding of wiring, circuits and other electrical components
• Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems
• Understanding of local and national codes, regulations and safety procedures
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and subcontractors effectively
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods
• Industrial and commercial electrician experience preferred
