Job Description:

Your Contribution As a Journeyman Electrician reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will be responsible to provide troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to support facility and R D equipment and systems.

This role is responsible to:

Set up electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting fixtures. Identify electrical faults (troubleshooting) and repair or replace faulty components to ensure functionality and safety. Read blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical specifications to plan layouts and determine material needs. Use tools like voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to test systems for safety and proper operation. Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) and state/local building regulations to prevent fire hazards and ensure safety. Upgrade electrical panels and wiring to handle modern loads or energy-efficient systems. Your Experience & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree in Electrical Technology or Electronics preferred. New York State Licensed Journeyman Electrician required 3-5 years of professional experience Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
