Journeyman Electrician

Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage wiring in commercial and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations. Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system functionality. Work safely on construction sites by adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local safety regulations. Connect programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems to automate industrial processes. Perform renovation work by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure with precision and care. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services to ensure seamless project execution. Skills Extensive experience working as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial control systems. Proven commercial electrician experience with the ability to handle complex wiring projects efficiently. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools necessary for construction tasks. Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems along with high voltage safety procedures for working on energized circuits. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and automation controls. Ability to operate testing devices like ohmmeters for circuit testing and troubleshooting. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols and efficient workflow management.
