Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across our commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will help us uphold safety standards, optimize equipment performance, and support ongoing renovation and construction projects. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage circuits, to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, schematics, blueprints, and schematic diagrams. Install, repair, and upgrade electrical components such as wiring, panels, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to accurately execute installation or repair tasks. Support renovation projects by framing carpentry, conduit installation, and general construction site work related to electrical systems. Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services to coordinate complex projects or repairs. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including NEC guidelines for high voltage and low voltage systems; utilize appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system updates for compliance and future reference. Experience Proven maintenance electrician experience with a strong understanding of commercial electrical systems. Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new installations. Skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Knowledge of NEC standards for both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems. Experience with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment essential for troubleshooting.
