This hands-on role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plant and facility equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and reliability.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance using manual and powered tools Maintain facility and process equipment at base condition (interior and exterior) Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble equipment Diagnose equipment issues using test data, operator input, and observation Adjust and test equipment to ensure proper operation Document work and parts usage in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Perform cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and mechanical adjustments Fabricate parts and components as needed Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Recognize, report, and correct safety hazards Use ladders, lifts, forklifts, and other equipment as trained Read blueprints, manuals, and schematics Contribute ideas to improve safety, housekeeping, efficiency, and cost control
Additional Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand and/or power tools. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Prepare and install electrical components per manufacturer and/or engineering requirements. Trace out short circuits in wiring, using test meter. Physical Demands Bend, stoop, kneel, and work from elevated platforms Stand and walk for extended periods Lift and move up to 50 lbs safely Use full range of motion with hands and arms Wear required PPE for extended periods Work outdoors when needed Qualifications 3+ years of experience in plant maintenance operations Strong electrical and instrumentation background Proficient in instrumentation including flow meters, level sensors, pressure sensors, load cell Experience with motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), starters, power supplies, and transformers Proficient at pipefitting and welding Experience with batch mixing tanks, pressure vessels, extruders, conveyors, boilers, compressors, and general building repair Preferred for Both Technical degree or certifications CMMS experience Forklift certification Knowledge of confined space and LOTO requirements Strong communication skills and ability to train others Work Hours Monday-Friday, 1st shift hours [7:00 am
