Journeyman Electrician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, with a strong background in both commercial and industrial settings. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics, using various hand and power tools, and performing electrical installations and repairs. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial environments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively, including voltmeters and ohmmeters for testing electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issues to identify problems and implement effective solutions. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations during all work performed. Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to complete projects efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Requirements Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification. Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician. Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring methods, and safety practices. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other related equipment. Ability to read and understand technical documents such as schematics and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. A maintenance person background is a plus but not mandatory.
