Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various facilities while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential projects in a fast-paced environment focused on quality workmanship and customer service. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues accurately Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and facility maintenance manuals Perform welding tasks when necessary for electrical or structural repairs while maintaining safety standards Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and facilities to minimize downtime Supervise junior team members and coordinate with contractors during complex projects or repairs Maintain detailed records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting electrical issues impacting production efficiency Assist with facility upgrades and general maintenance tasks as needed Qualifications & Experience Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification Strong electrical experience in industrial, commercial, or residential environments Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings Hands-on experience with PLCs, welding, and facility maintenance Proficiency with testing equipment such as ohmmeters Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred Knowledge of manufacturing operations and maintenance processes is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills in English
