Job Description
Electrical Repair Maintenance Technician Pay Range:
$29.43-$34.10 + $1.50/hr shift premiumVacation:
2 weeks earned within the first 5 months We are seeking an experienced Electrical Repair Maintenance Technician to support our heavy manufacturing operations on the evening shift. This role is responsible for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance to keep production running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair on production equipment, facility systems, and support machinery. Use ammeters, multimeters, and diagnostic tools to trace circuits, test connections, and verify safe operation. Maintain and replace wiring, fuses, breakers, switches, relays, and electrical/electronic components. Read and interpret schematics and basic ladder logic; adjust or modify PLC programs as required. Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and prevent equipment failures. Respond to equipment breakdowns and facility emergencies promptly. Collaborate with Electronic Technicians and Electrical Engineers on complex issues. Safely perform lock-out/tag-out procedures and develop safe work plans. Utilize mechanical knowledge to support maintenance tasks across the facility. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. Electrical knowledge equivalent to an electrical technician/installer. Strong understanding of circuitry (240V/400V 3-phase), HVAC electrical systems, and testing equipment. Ability to work independently, shift priorities, and troubleshoot moderately complex electro-mechanical issues. Mechanical aptitude approaching journeyman level.
