In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across manufacturing and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical components operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation to new installations, utilizing your technical skills to keep operations running smoothly. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs. Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate machinery and processes efficiently. Conduct inspections of low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure safety and compliance. Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment on construction sites or industrial facilities, including renovation projects. Collaborate with construction teams and frame carpenters during installation phases to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into building structures. Document all work performed through detailed reports, logs, and compliance records to maintain safety standards and facilitate future troubleshooting. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical layouts. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks. Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC guidelines. Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools for installation or repair work. Ability to use testing instruments including ohmmeters, multimeters, clamp meters for diagnosing electrical issues. Construction site experience including renovation projects and framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations. Strong handyman skills that support versatile troubleshooting across various building systems. Knowledge of schematics interpretation, blueprint reading, and electrical code compliance standards.
