Job Description

We are looking for someone that has the experience wiring, reading blueprints and a plus if you have experience with control panels. This position is working in a climate-controlled environment laying out and wiring buildings to be used in the Oil & Gas Industry. Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Technician and become a vital contributor to innovative manufacturing and electrical systems maintenance. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical equipment and systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of electrical components, supporting our commitment to quality and efficiency. Duties Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, circuits, schematics, and control systems using hand tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and specialized equipment. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within electrical systems and implement effective solutions promptly. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and extend lifespan. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks to develop detailed schematics and layouts for electrical projects. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate manufacturing processes efficiently. Solder surface mount technology (SMT) components onto PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) for electronic assemblies. Collaborate with mechanical teams using Mechanical knowledge to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into larger machinery or infrastructure projects. Assist in project scheduling by coordinating installation timelines and resource allocation for electrical tasks. Debug complex electrical issues through systematic testing and analysis, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Support manufacturing operations by assembling electrical components, wiring equipment, and repairing faulty systems as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in electrical engineering or related fields with a strong background in electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting. Proficiency with schematics reading, circuit design, and CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Revit is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with soldering techniques, surface mount technology (SMT), and PCB assembly. Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or other automation tools to enhance system functionality is a plus. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical wiring practices, NEC standards, and schematic interpretation. Mechanical aptitude combined with understanding of manufacturing processes enhances problem-solving capabilities. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively using diagnostic tools such as multimeters or Ohmmeters. Strong organizational skills in project scheduling and documentation to ensure timely completion of tasks.
