Job Description:

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician (PLC Controls Technician) is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical and mechanical systems to support production equipment reliability and plant uptime. This role requires strong expertise in PLC diagnostics, AC/DC drive systems, electrical schematics, and industrial control systems to ensure safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment. The technician will also perform preventive maintenance, support equipment installations, and collaborate with production teams to maintain optimal performance and product quality.

First Shift:

Monday to Friday, 6:55 AM

PM Rotating Day Shift:

Days Vary, 6:55 AM

• 7:00

PM Rotating Night Shift:

Days Vary, 7:00 PM

AM Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Follow and enforce all safety, health, GMP, and company policies.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems.
• Diagnose PLC issues; ability to re-write inputs/outputs is a plus.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, and feeders.
• Test electrical systems for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain and repair switchgear, transformers, regulators, and related components.
• Service motors, generators, alternators, and electrical control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate PM records.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
• Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation as needed.
• Assist and train production employees on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Support equipment installations and improvements as needed.
• Limited travel may be required.

Job Requirements:

• Associate Degree in an electrical field or industrial electrical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance electrician experience.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and AC/DC drive experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer and typing skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to complete assignments independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively and perform effectively under pressure.
• Ability to manage workload, follow procedures, and meet deadlines.
