Job Description

Position Summary We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our assembly team building custom capital packaging equipment. In this hands-on role, you will assemble, wire, and troubleshoot control panels and electrical systems for complex machinery. You will work with both low-voltage control systems (≤120V AC/DC) and higher power systems (up to 600V AC, single and three-phase). This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrician who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and seeing projects through from drawing to finished machine. Key Responsibilities Assemble and wire electrical control panels, including installation of relays, drives, servos, PLC components, and other automation devices. Install modules and components into control enclosures and machinery assemblies. Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical systems from control circuits through power distribution. Read, interpret, and correct electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Perform mechanical assembly tasks including drilling, mounting, fitting enclosures, and running conduit/wiring. Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and company quality requirements. Inspect completed work for proper installation and integrity. Maintain accurate documentation and keep a clean, organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing, industrial, or custom equipment environment. Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Proficient in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Working knowledge of motor controls, AC/DC drives, and three-phase power systems. Familiarity with NEC codes and best practices for industrial control panels. Skilled with hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, multimeters, and other electrical instruments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good time management and a strong work ethic. Requirements Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (occasional travel to customer sites may be required). Ability to work overtime, occasional weekends, and off-shifts as needed. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school, apprenticeship, or Journeyman Electrician license preferred. Physical Demands & Work Environment This is a manufacturing shop environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Ability to regularly lift, move, and position materials weighing 25-75 lbs. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, climbing ladders/stairs, and kneeling. Good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception). Ability to stand for extended periods and use hand tools continuously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

From $22.00 per hour
