Job Description

Maintenance Electrician Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based desserts. Our manufacturing facility, located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, produces value added fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers is looking for a Maintenance Electrician for 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:00pm. The position is a Union position. Job Overview Primary responsibility is to keep all facilities equipment, production equipment and the building in safe and working order To troubleshoot, maintain, repair and/or replace (whole or in part) all equipment, machinery, apparatus, electronic components and electrical systems so that the production of quality goods is uninterrupted or with minimal down time Interacts with plant management and production supervisors
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain production equipment. Perform PM tasks on production equipment. Perform various electrical tasks. Maintain building equipment. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Formal Education requirements Certified Electrician•completion of an apprenticeship program or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is essential.
Skills and abilities required:
Ability to organize, prioritize and execute assigned tasks. Electrical troubleshooting skills & knowledge on 24v•480v systems and components. PLC and control knowledge•Siemens and or Rockwell Allen Bradley. Motor & Motor control knowledge. Understanding operation manuals and schematics. Good people skills.
Computer skills:
Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, SAP.
Physical responsibilities:
At times will be required to perform equipment repairs in difficult, tight, and awkward areas. Lift equipment and parts weighing up to 50 lbs. Work at heights up to 30 feet may be required. Must be able to work in hot or cold environments. EOE/M/F/H/V
