In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes. Your expertise will help deliver safe, efficient, and reliable electrical solutions for a variety of commercial projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, renovations, and large-scale industrial projects, utilizing your technical skills to make a tangible impact. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial environments using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical schematics to accurately execute installation plans. Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality and safety. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, adhering strictly to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure project milestones are met. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems during renovations or new construction projects to identify potential issues early. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and inspection reports. Requirements Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician work preferred. Hands-on experience with construction site work, renovation projects, and framing carpentry is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers as well as power tools safely and efficiently. Familiarity with NEC standards, high voltage systems, and the use of testing equipment like ohmmeters. Strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for complex electrical layouts. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols; handyman experience is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
