Electrician Helper - Residential

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced residential Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in roughing & trimming new residential custom homes.

Hours & Location:

• 7AM-330PM
• 1/2HR Lunch/Break at

Noon Location:

Job sites vary. The most common sites are located in the North and South Hills of Pittsburgh Including Cranberry, Wexford, Oakmont, Venetia, Washington, Upper St Clair. Commute time of up to 1 Hour.

Duties:

• Use power tools, and hand tools to drill holes & run wire in new homes-Wire & Install plugs, switches, bath fans, and light fixtures
• Read blueprints to identify electrical systems and perform daily tasks.
• Assist in renovating electrical systems, including designing and implementing new electrical layouts.
• Collaborate with other electricians, customers, and construction professionals to complete projects efficiently.
• Ensure all work is done safely and in compliance with local electrical codes and regulations.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience as an electrician or in a related field. (schooling not accepted as experience)
• Proven experience with electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with low-voltage systems including Coax, and Cat6.
• Experience with blueprint reading and electrical schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and local electrical codes.
• Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment, lifting heavy equipment, and standing for extended periods.

Skills:

• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
• Experience with electrical testing and diagnosis.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and local electrical codes.
