In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in residential settings, ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Your expertise will help deliver reliable electrical solutions that enhance our clients' homes and improve their quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovations, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to make a tangible difference in homeowners' lives. Duties Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and panels in residential properties. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and low voltage testing equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper system operation. Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry and general contractors during construction or renovation projects. Troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently by applying knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with local codes, including high voltage and low voltage systems. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification with proven residential electrical experience. Demonstrated experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new builds. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, high voltage, low voltage wiring, and schematic interpretation. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician tasks, or commercial electrical work is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices. Ability to work safely at heights and in various construction environments while adhering to safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience or frame carpentry skills are advantageous.
