Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across industrial facilities. Your expertise will ensure that machinery and electrical infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings using hand tools, power tools, and test instruments such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs. Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate machinery and processes. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety regulations related to low voltage and high voltage electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical components including motors, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels. Assist with construction site electrical work including framing carpentry, conduit installation, wiring for renovations or new builds. Perform troubleshooting on industrial electrical systems to identify faults quickly and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with construction teams on schematics reading and layout planning for electrical installations. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and modifications for compliance and future reference. Requirements Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical work. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and low/high voltage systems. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards for safe electrical practices. Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as testing instruments like ohmmeters. Construction site experience involving renovation projects or new installations is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Strong understanding of circuit wiring for both low voltage control circuits and high voltage power systems. Knowledge of NEC regulations related to commercial or industrial environments is essential. Skilled in framing carpentry or handyman tasks that support electrical installations or repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently. Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations; additional certifications in PLC programming or high voltage systems are a plus.
