Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic construction and electrical services team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various commercial and industrial, and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality electrical solutions efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment on commercial, residential and industrial construction sites Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts Use hand tools and power tools to perform precise electrical installations and repairs Conduct low voltage and high voltage electrical work in accordance with NEC standards and safety protocols Utilize testing instruments such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues Follow framed carpentry plans when installing conduit supports or mounting electrical panels Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur Skills Proven experience as an industrial and residential electrician with a strong background in commercial and residential electrical systems Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex wiring layouts Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools safely and effectively Knowledge of NEC regulations, low voltage systems, high voltage applications, and relevant electrical codes Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and schematics for troubleshooting purposes Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and efficient workflow Familiarity with frame carpentry techniques for supporting electrical infrastructure Strong understanding of electrical experience across various environments including industrial settings Join our team to bring your expertise to exciting projects that challenge your skills while making a tangible impact!
