This role combines hands-on technical execution with team leadership, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all electrical systems supporting manufacturing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Master Electrician Leadership and Supervision Lead, assign, and oversee daily work of electrical team members. Provide coaching, training, performance management, and skill development. Maintain cross-training matrix and workforce capability planning. Support disciplinary actions and administer labor agreements as applicable. Electrical Systems & Maintenance Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, controls, and equipment. Troubleshoot complex electrical and PLC issues; perform root cause analysis. Ensure all work meets OEM specifications and industry standards. Drive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies. Engineering and Continuous Improvement Interpret and develop electrical schematics, control diagrams, and layout drawings. Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. Lead infrastructure upgrades, equipment installations, and capital projects. Optimize energy usage and electrical distribution systems. Compliance and Safety Ensure full compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety programs. Identify and eliminate electrical hazards and non-compliance risks. Support GMP and regulatory requirements. Documentation and Systems Management Maintain accurate electrical documentation, schematics, and asset records. Manage work order data, downtime tracking, and performance metrics. Oversee spare parts inventory and vendor sourcing. Qualifications Required Master Electrician License 10-15+ years of industrial/manufacturing electrical experience Strong expertise in: Electrical distribution systems PLCs and automation controls Industrial equipment and power systems Demonstrated leadership experience Preferred Experience in continuous improvement environments (Lean, TPM, etc.) Project management experience Physical & Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variation. Ability to lift up to 50-100 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, etc.). On-call and extended hours as needed.
