Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled electricians who is proficient in understanding and applying blueprints and technical diagrams. The role involves installing commercial recessed lighting and fixtures, retrofitting outdated lighting systems with energy-efficient options, and repairing and maintaining electrical panels. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and fixing problems in wiring or electrical components, inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and ensuring compliance with state and local building regulations. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings. Perform wiring, conduit bending, and installation of electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issues using volt/ohm meters and other diagnostic tools. Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. Ensure compliance with NEC codes and safety standards. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently. Document the work completed and materials used. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in the electrical field, with a preference for commercial electrical experience. Strong troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in wiring and schematic interpretation. Experience with hand tools and installation. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 10 certification preferred. Why Work Here? The role involves working on healthcare building projects, hospital projects, and various other commercial projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
