No Tennessee journeyman license required. Active journeyman or master electrician license is a plus. The Opportunity Schaffhouser is looking for an experienced industrial / journeyman-level electrician to support commercial and industrial electrical work across Middle Tennessee. This is a hands-on field role for someone who can work safely, solve problems in active facilities, and perform high-quality electrical installations, service work, and troubleshooting. This is not a traveling road-warrior position. Most work is regional/local, with employees typically going home nightly. Candidates should be comfortable driving to changing job sites across the Middle Tennessee service area. How You Will Make an Impact Install and troubleshoot industrial and commercial electrical systems. Including; electrical panelboards, switchgear, lighting systems, and disconnects efficiently. Terminate electrical conductors for power and controls ranging from 20awg to 750kcmil accurately. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diverse electrical systems, including feeders, branch circuits, control wiring, lighting systems, disconnects, and equipment power. Install, fabricate, and route conduit, including Galvanized Rigid, Aluminum Rigid, IMC, EMT, and PVC. Utilize hand, electric, and hydraulic benders to execute precise conduit runs on every project. Collaborate in daily safe work plans and weekly meetings to uphold a strict safety culture. Support service work, equipment installs, demo/relocation work, power upgrades, and lighting projects in existing facilities. Work safely in manufacturing, food-grade, automotive, stamping, paper mill, and other industrial environments. Use lifts, ladders, rooftops, underground conduit routes, and other field conditions as needed. Minimize material waste through accurate measurements, clean installation practices, and good field planning. Lead or support small crews when needed, depending on experience level. Required Qualifications & Experience 10,000+ hours of commercial or industrial electrical experience, or completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program. Proven experience in commercial / industrial electrical installations or service work. Ability to troubleshoot feeders, branch circuits, control wiring, lighting, and equipment power. Ability to read prints, follow field direction, and adapt to existing facility conditions. Standard electrical hand tools. Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel to regional job sites, typically within about an hour of home or the assigned work area. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and occasional night shifts when project needs require it. Preferred Qualifications 8-10+ years of industrial or heavy commercial electrical experience. Lead electrician, foreman, or crew-lead experience. Active journeyman or master electrician license. Experience in manufacturing, food processing, automotive, stamping, paper mills, or similar industrial environments. Experience with control wiring, rigid conduit, lifts, underground conduit, and existing-facility service work. High school diploma or GED. Compensation & Benefits Weekly pay.
