Job Description

Commercial Interior Foreman Capitol Coatings Chattanooga, TN Job Details $55,000 - $125,000 a year 1 day ago Full Job Description We are a growing commercial interior contractor based in TN specializing in light gauge steel framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and painting across commercial tenant buildout and renovation projects. We are expanding our field leadership team and looking for an experienced foreman to take ownership of job layout and field execution across our interior scopes. This is a hands-on role. You will read and interpret commercial construction drawings, perform floor layout for steel framing, set ACT ceiling grid, and direct field crews through framing, hang, finish, and ceiling installation. What we're looking for: You need to be able to read a set of architectural drawings, understand wall type schedules, door schedules, and reflected ceiling plans, and translate that to accurate field conditions with a chalk line and laser level. Experience with GA-216 standards, deflection head track conditions, and fire-rated assemblies is important. ACT grid layout ability is a strong plus. Bi-Lingual strong plus. You are self-directed in the field, take layout seriously, and understand that a framing error costs everyone downstream — drywall, finish, paint, and millwork all reference your work.
What we offer:
Competitive base compensation, performance bonuses tied to job efficiency, and a direct path to a senior field leadership role as the company scales. We are building something here and the right person grows with it. Vehicle, Fuel Card, Tools, Cell, Uniform, all provided to the right candidate. If you've been running commercial framing and drywall crews, know your way around a set of plans, and want to be part of a company that is expanding its interior scope across the Chattanooga market — we want to hear from you.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Flexible spending account Paid time off Professional development assistance
Work Location:
