In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial and residential construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical installations and repairs. Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues accurately. Work on construction sites performing wiring for new builds or renovations while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and maintenance logs. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems at both low voltage and high voltage levels. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics for automation projects is highly desirable. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers along with power tools necessary for installation tasks. Knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards relevant to construction and renovation environments. Ability to work on construction sites with physical stamina for standing, climbing ladders, or working at heights as needed. Familiarity with low voltage systems including security alarms or data cabling is a plus. Previous handyman or frame carpentry experience is beneficial for versatile project support. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using testing equipment like ohmmeters.
