About Harlan Electric Company Harlan Electric Company is a leading electrical subcontractor serving Tennessee's healthcare, higher education, and commercial sectors. We self‑perform full electrical installations and service work with a strong commitment to Quality, Safety, and Productivity (QSP) . The Field Superintendent is the senior on-site leader responsible for executing electrical construction projects safely, professionally, and profitably. This role leads field crews, coordinates daily operations, and serves as Harlan Electric's primary representative on the jobsite. What You'll Do Lead field execution of electrical projects across healthcare, higher education, and commercial work Serve as the company's on-site representative with professionalism and authority Enforce all safety rules, lead daily tailboards, and stop work if conditions are unsafe Plan, sequence, and coordinate work to meet schedule and budget goals Manage manpower, productivity, and crew assignments Review drawings, specs, and revisions; coordinate RFIs and field documentation Track materials, tools, and equipment and report shortages or issues promptly Maintain accurate daily logs, QA/QC documentation, and time records Coordinate with Project Managers and report job progress, risks, and impacts in real time Coach and develop foremen and crew members; address performance issues as needed What You'll Need Strong electrical construction background with field leadership experience Experience supervising crews on active jobsites, preferably healthcare or institutional work Solid understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, and codes Proven safety leadership and jobsite discipline Ability to manage labor, materials, and equipment effectively Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills Dependable, professional, and team-oriented leadership style Why Harlan Electric Steady pipeline of healthcare, higher education, and commercial projects Strong safety culture and clear field expectations Opportunity to lead meaningful, complex electrical work Competitive pay and benefits Supportive leadership and long-term growth opportunities
