Electrical Group What You'll Do Inspects, tests, repairs, fabricates, alters, and installs a wide variety of electrical power, communication, and instrumental equipment, including controlling devices and wiring systems, electromechanical, technical equipment, radio networks, and power system failure responses. Determines necessary corrective action and completes restoration to service. Operates machinery, tools and complex test equipment as necessary. Minimum Job Requirements Requires trade school or apprenticeship training with four years of applicable industrial electrical and electronics experience or equivalent combination. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy clearance is required. Position may require entry into Material Access Areas(MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 CFR 709. In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of

alternative). Preferred Job Requirements The ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and data, sketches, wiring diagrams, manufacturer's guides and oral instructions is necessary. A working knowledge of the National Electrical Codes and electrical safe work practices is essential. Subject to requirements of obtaining an appropriate Commercial Driver's License. Notes Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status.
