) We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, interpret schematics and blueprints, and utilize your hands-on skills with a variety of tools. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring all work adheres to NEC standards and safety protocols. Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical installations and ensure timely project completion. Conduct routine maintenance on existing electrical systems and perform upgrades as needed. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections for each project. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams essential for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems. Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices. Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems alongside high voltage applications. Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments. Familiarity with schematics interpretation, frame carpentry basics, handyman skills, and renovation projects enhances versatility.
