This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and hands-on experience working with machinery, controls, and power distribution systems. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform root cause analysis Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Work with motors, control panels, PLCs, and frequency drives (VFDs) Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards Install and maintain lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components Support production teams to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform timely repairs Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation Qualifications 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls preferred Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently and in a team environment Preferred Experience Experience in pipe yards, steel manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments Familiarity with conveyors, heavy machinery, and automated systems Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Work Environment Industrial / outdoor pipe yard environment Exposure to heavy equipment, noise, and varying weather conditions Must be able to lift, climb, bend, and work extended hours as needed
