Full Job Description Summary:
The Electrician is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Plan, layout, install, and repair wiring, conduit, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment.
Responsibilities:
Assistwith the installation, wiring, and termination of electrical systems including lighting, power, and control systems. Read and interpret basic electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC) using hand and power tools. Pull, route, and secure electrical wiring and cables. Assistin troubleshooting electrical issues and performing basic repairs. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area. Work collaboratively with electricians, supervisors, and othertrades. Document workperformedasrequired.
Education and Experience:
1-3 years of electrical experience in construction, industrial, or commercial environments. Basic understanding of electrical theory, codes, and safety practices. Ability to read basic blueprints and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical work. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. High school diploma or GED required. Completion of or enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship program preferred. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
