Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working alongside skilled electricians on a variety of construction and maintenance projects. You'll develop essential skills in electrical systems, blueprint reading, and safety protocols while gaining practical knowledge of both low and high voltage electrical work. Responsibilities Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and commercial facilities. Support the setup and use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repairs. Help with wiring low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Participate in site safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety regulations. Assist with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when necessary. Contribute to the inspection of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Qualifications Previous experience or training related to industrial or commercial electrical work is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and basic electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters is highly desirable. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems along with NEC standards is a plus. Experience working on construction sites or in construction environments will be advantageous. Strong attention to detail, safety-minded attitude, and willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role. Basic understanding of frame carpentry related to electrical installations is beneficial but not mandatory. Must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
