In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in residential settings. Responsibilities Install, repair, and upgrade residential electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and panels. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise electrical work. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete installation and repair tasks. Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations for safety and quality standards. Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, and construction teams to coordinate project timelines and specifications. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for each project. Experience Proven experience as a residential electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in home environments. Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage installations, renovation projects, and construction sites. Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment. Some knowledge of NEC standards, electrical code compliance. Previous work on construction or renovation projects demonstrating adaptability across diverse job sites. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret schematics accurately and implement effective solutions.
