Minimum 6 months We are seeking an experienced Electrician to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning activities on commercial construction projects in Dallas, Texas. The company delivers commercial projects including shopping centers, supermarkets, retail spaces, and other large-scale commercial environments. This contract role is suited to a skilled electrical professional with experience across commercial, retail, industrial, or large-scale construction environments, working closely with site leadership, MEP teams, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and associated components. Work on power distribution systems, lighting, panels, switchgear, transformers, conduit, cable tray, wiring, controls, generators, UPS systems, and electrical plant equipment. Support electrical start-up, testing, commissioning, inspections, punch lists, turnover, and closeout activities. Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and project documentation. Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance in line with site requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable electrical codes. Diagnose electrical, controls, power distribution, lighting, grounding, and equipment-related issues. Coordinate with Superintendents, MEP Managers, Project Managers, commissioning teams, vendors, and subcontractors. Complete daily reports, maintenance records, inspection checklists, and required project documentation while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Requirements Proven experience as an Electrician on commercial, retail, industrial, or large-scale construction projects. Experience working on shopping centers, supermarkets, retail fit-outs, or similar commercial environments is advantageous. Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair practices, safety procedures, quality standards, and applicable electrical codes. Experience working with switchgear, panels, transformers, generators, UPS systems, lighting, conduit, cable tray, wiring, controls, and electrical equipment is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, technical manuals, and project documentation. Journeyman Electrician license is preferred; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is advantageous. Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to work on-site in Dallas, Texas for the duration of the contract. Ability to travel is advantageous, with per diem offered where applicable.
