Journeyman Electrician

Journeyman Electrician We are currently accepting applications for experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our team on commercial construction projects. A Journeyman Electrician works under the direction of a Foreman or Superintendent and may lead a small crew of apprentices and helpers while performing installation, maintenance, alteration, and repair of electrical systems. This role is ideal for a skilled electrician who is confident in both hands-on work and leading others in a fast-paced construction environment. Primary Responsibilities A Journeyman Electrician may be required to perform duties across all apprentice levels (E1-E5), and in addition: Interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics to plan and execute work Lay out work and prepare materials for installation Perform rigging and jobsite setup for assigned tasks Oversee underground layout and rough-in work Determine proper wire and conduit sizing Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install conduit using hand and power tools Install buss feeders and switchgear, including terminations Install and connect electrical wiring, cables, conduit, and equipment in new and existing systems Troubleshoot electrical systems, circuits, and equipment Operate required tools and equipment safely and efficiently Train and direct helpers and apprentices on safe work practices, tools, and electrical procedures Ensure compliance with all safety standards and jobsite requirements Perform other duties as assigned by supervision Maintain attendance and comply with company policies Position Requirements Active TDLR Journeyman Electrician License (Required) Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (Required) High School Diploma or GED preferred Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program Minimum 8,000 hours of on-the-job electrical experience Strong understanding of basic electrical theory and applications Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Ability to work overtime when required Work Environment This position is based on active commercial construction sites and involves working alongside other trades, subcontractors, and site personnel in varying indoor and outdoor conditions. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, and reach throughout the workday Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts Ability to access all areas of a construction site in varying conditions Strong spatial awareness and ability to visualize layouts and drawings Frequent use of hands for tools, materials, and equipment operation Ability to safely operate vehicles and commercial equipment as required Please note: This job description is not intended to be a complete list of all duties, responsibilities, or activities required for this position. Pay:
