Basic Job Functions:
The role of Shift Electrician - Maintenance is to ensure the highest reliability of our equipment at the most effective cost. Working as a team to develop and refine our processes, practices, and equipment to continue ensure Nucor's long-term success. At this time, Nucor Steel Texas is not willing to provide employer sponsorship for any current or future U.S. work authorizations. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
2-or-4-year Engineering or technical degree. Comprehensive understanding of fundamental electrical theory and electrical equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Electrical safety/NFPA 70E Knowledge. Motors, PLC, Drives Experience. Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge. CMMS knowledge. Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
