Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and meets project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and industrial facilities, utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality electrical solutions that keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to support automation and control functions. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or upgrades in accordance with NEC standards. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and handymen during renovation and new construction projects to coordinate electrical work seamlessly. Use testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults efficiently. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations on construction sites or industrial facilities. Qualifications Valid journeyman electrician license with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical work. Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical theory. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and high voltage systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment essential for troubleshooting. Construction site experience with familiarity in renovation projects and new installations. Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately for precise wiring and system setup. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities. Additional skills such as handyman experience or frame carpentry are a plus but not required.
