  • An Electrical Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining electrical systems in industrial manufacturing facility. Their duties include installing or replacing wiring and other electrical components, troubleshooting electrical issues to handle repairs and communicating with outside contractors to establish job details and related costs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understanding and applying blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Using various devices, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools
  • Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems
  • Troubleshooting Electrical Motors, and Diagnosing issues with VFDs and Servomotor controllers, PLCs, Sensors, and other devices
  • Installing or replacing wiring, lighting, electrical controls, breakers and other electrical devices
  • Ability to coordinate tasks with others through personal initiative.
  • Versed in lock-out/tag-out procedures and possess a strong safety orientation and record
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed to achieve objectives without supervision.
  • Maintaining interior and exterior facility electrical wiring/infrastructure
  • Quickly responding to and resolving electrical failures or breakdowns on the production floor
  • Adhering to state and local building regulations
  • Completing work orders on time
  • Documenting the work completed and materials used
  • Working with other electricians, general contractors, architects and other team members
  • Perform any other duties that are asked of them by the supervisors/managers (Even if the task potentially does not pertain to their position)
  • Open to occasional fluctuating/flexing hours based on business and plant needs
  • Some travel between Lubbock, TX and Portales, NM will be required occasionally Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience as an industrial electrician in manufacturing or maintenance setting
  • Advanced electrical skills, including the ability to program and install a wide range of electrical devices, with specific expertise in Allen-Bradley PLC and VFDs
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, drawings, and manuals
  • Be able to operate and work from lifts
  • Electricians should be able to see and discern color
  • Be able to climb and work from ladders
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds to eye level Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Journeyman Electrician (Required)
  • Master Electrician (Preferred) Work Environment
  • Combination of an office and manufacturing environment along with duties that will require employee to work in a production/plant environment where physical hazards such as industrial equipment and forklifts may be present. Schedule
