Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant electrical operations while supporting renovation projects and new installations. Duties Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Maintain compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and ensure all work adheres to safety regulations. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to support automation and control processes. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; diagnose issues efficiently for prompt resolution. Assist in renovation projects by framing carpentry, conduit installation, wiring upgrades, and general handyman tasks as needed on construction sites. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining a safe work environment; communicate effectively with supervisors and clients. Support the testing of electrical components in accordance with schematics and technical specifications; troubleshoot complex issues involving industrial or commercial systems. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive electrical knowledge. Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial, commercial, or construction settings; familiarity with NEC standards is essential. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics reading. Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; ohmmeters; and other electrical testing equipment. Strong background in construction site work, renovation projects, blueprint reading, framing carpentry, and general handyman tasks. Ability to interpret technical diagrams like schematics accurately; experience with low voltage systems is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Pay:
$31.50 - $35.62 per hour
