This job installs, repairs wiring, maintains and upgrades electrical systems, electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, including all instrument and electrical installations on oil and gas facilities and well pads.
Required Qualifications :
  • Installs, repairs, and commissioning of electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
  • Ensures systems complies with electrical codes.
  • Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
  • Connects electrical systems to power sources to provide electricity for the process/equipment.
  • Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assemble, and install electrical conduit and cable tray.
  • Work on voltages from 0-480V
  • Troubleshoot VFDs, starters, control circuits, motors, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Show up on time prepared for work.
  • Fill out and/or assist with job site hazard assessments.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.
  • Train and assign helpers on daily work tasks.
  • Ability to be on a rotating on call schedule.
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Journeyman Electrician License Preferred
  • 3 to 5 years oilfield electrical (AC & DC), hands-on experience.
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in a proper manner on email, text, or phone.
  • Ability to adapt to last minute changes and redirect course of project completion accordingly.
License Certification :
  • Ongoing education, completion of a formal apprenticeship, or valid journeyman electrician's license.
  • Valid Driver License
  • H2S
